Macau 20 Commemorative Notes - NEW RELEASE

Here are the newly released Macau 20 Pataca commemorative banknotes issued by Banco Nacional Ultramarino (National Overseas Bank) and Bank of China. These notes celebrate the 20th anniversary of the handover of Macau from Portuguese authority to the People's Republic of China in 1999.

Macau is currently a Special Administrative Region (SAR) of the People's Republic of China: similar to Hong Kong.

I’ve been collecting Patacas ever since the first ‘year of’ series of 10 Patacas in 2012 and has no idea that ultramarino actually translated to ‘overseas’. Thanks for teaching me that! Also it’s interesting that they use the Yuan and HKD in Macau, I look forward to your next video talking more about that.
