Thanks for the thorough test - I haven't come across many reviews that "get" this card. 16GB on a budget is clearly a game changer to me and has it hit way above its class in generative AI. There are other cheapish 16GB options but this has the benefit of still being NVIDIA with excellent hardware support from the AI community.

And still the new 4070 super only has 12gb vram. The upper models got 16gb but gonna be really expensive. I'd hope that Nvidia gives the same treatment to 4070s as they did with the 60 ti, doubling down to release a 4070s 24gb, that would definitely be a buy for me aiming both for gaming and AI generation. 2024 should be '24gb year, common nvidia, 16 should be default standard already.

Hmm ... I just did a 1024 x 1024 with my old (t)rusty RTX 2070 8 GB and Dreamshaper8 model (non-XL, of course) - and it took 16.7 s without LoRA, 17.8 s with a LoRA. Looks like there's virtually no speed gain if the larger VRAM of the 4060 Ti 16 GB isn't used. Is that possible?

this compare is a waste of time without including results from 4070, because everyone right now is trying to know how much the 4070 speed will compensate for the missing 4GB of memory compared to the 4060 16GB. It's infuriating that there are no comparatives at 1024, only at 512 or 768

Comparing the ti model vs non-ti models shouldn't be. Do a ti to ti test then tell me it's better. nVidia dropped the ball with the 4060 models. They should be twice as fast as the 3000x models.
