shikamaru is the goat dude. like aside from him being (one of if not the single smartest person in the series) he is incredibly empathetic to people. when jirayai died shikamaru visited naruto to talk to him about what he felt when his sensei died and tried to comfort him. thats the thing with shikamaru, he reminds me so much if the third hokages wisdom and in that sense i think he inherited the will of fire more so than any of the other characters.
