The SawStop table saw didn't even leave a mark on the hot dog, that reacts very similarly to human flesh, during our testing! Make sure to always use all safety measures when using the saw and don't rely on the safety mechanism, but if a mistake was made it's nice to know you're protected. I love seeing the slow motion footage of the brake cartridge firing from under the saw, stopping the blade before even leaving a scratch on the hot dog! I worked in an exotic lumber store for several years, and the number of people I met who were missing digits because of table saws gave me a healthy respect (fear) of them. I would not own ANY table saw other than a Saw Stop. Period.

I've seen a thousand sawstop demonstrations with a sausage; nut only twice with a real human finger.
Once with the creator and once when Festool came to our conpany and a buddy of mine actually tried it.

Still think this should be the standard on all new table saws regardless of brand. I would much rather buy a new cartridge and blade then lice a finger

Is the blade damaged after, just curious, doesn't make a difference, price of a new blade is way less than the price of a new finger.

Ahh shop class in hs. I was on a lathe and suddenly I saw what looked like little smokes flying in the air in a ark. Then the kid on the table saw with him gripping his arm and blood coming from 4 of his lost fingers. I found 2 of them and took them to the office never found the pinky

Does this damage blade and is there a chance it will start going off when no skin near blade?? Looks awesome tho and could be a lifesaver
