-What is your biggest mistake?
-Not choosing right dialogue options to get into fight with Von Everec

*_The Virgin Eredin vs. The Chad Olgierd Von Everec_*

This whole the burning manor as the backdrop, a menacing yet smooth-talking Olgierd gently invites you to a duel, and fiercely the two fight, honorably. Winning the fight only reveals an even darker truth about the charming nobleman. What a game. What an expansion. I was wholly devoured by its story.

This DLC would make a really really good movie.

The next time you fight Olgierd, use whirlwind to attack. He’ll almost definitely block it, but the animation of their swords clashing looks absolutely badass

"Would you wait, sir, for the dribble to subside?"
"Makes no difference to me."
"Justly said. Stand, and fight!"

I went into that boss fight thinking. "I'm gonna destroy you. I'm level 35 (or something)"

He absolutely kicked my butt.

Olgierd looks like a nobleman straight from the times of Polish-Lithuanian Sarmatism. He uses a sword very similar to the distinctive polish szabla of the same period. His haircut is called czupryna or a kind of oseledec - also a very distinctive mark of the times of golden liberty in Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. While his robe is not exactly a kontusz, it at least resembles one and uses a kind of pas kontuszowy. The oriental patterns are also something that could be found in the same period. Someone was really inspired creating this character.

I went into this dlc completely blind and seeing no trailers, I don't regret a thing.

With the way everyone is freaking out about this fight in the comments, you'd think they were losing their heads or something.

Me: Pah, I defeated the Wild Hunt, what can this petty captain of better thieves possibly have in store?
0:55 *von Everec starts blood-teleporting like crazy and sends me flying*
Me: OH SHIT. (After a long and tough fight: "Whew, finally, he's dead!")
*von Everec tumbles, then stands & claps while being 98, 6% decapitated*
Me: This DLC has only just begun, hasn't it ;___;

When I first fought Olgierd, I had this false sense of security, cuz at that point, all human bosses were easy as fuck. I wasn’t expecting for him to teleport, throw sand at my face, and obliterate my health bar with 4 attacks. Great boss, great dlc, great game.
