On the Jan 1997 paper two, please explain why you changed everything in the bracket to negative.

a/5+ 3a/2 first you have to find the L, C, M which is lowest common multiples so the multiples of. 5 is 5, 10, 15, 20 and multiples of 2 is. 2, 4, 6, 8 10 in that the lowest term is 10 = 5 into 10 is 2a put back the signs and 10 into 2 = 5 multiply by the numerator 5×3= 15 so them 15+2= 17/10

2k/3 + 2-k/5 the L, c, m of 5 is 5, 10, 15, 20 and L, c, m of 3 is 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 the lowest term is 15 so we say 15 into 3 5 multiply by the numerator which (2k )=10 so you put 10k + 15into 3 is 3 multiply by the numerator which is (2-k)= 6-3k which mean 3 multiply by 2 is 6 and and 3 multiply by k is = 3k= 10 + -6-3k/15 = 10-3 =7+6/15

3p/2 + p/p. First you find the L, C, M which is 2p/2= p(3p)=3p = 2/p=2(q)2q so we cannot express small than this is my answer

the june 02 paper 2 question, your answer could break down to the numerator being y-3 right seing it said simplify and the denominator 2 could go in the 6, and what if i have my ans as y-3/y2 as in y(square)is that incorrect?

X-2/3+ x +1/4 first have to find the L, c, m 3, 6 9, 12, 15 L, c, m 4 is. 4, 8 12, 16 so my lowest term is 12 = 12 into 3 is 4 multiply 4 by the numerator which (x-2)= 4x2= 8= 4x+8 (3x+3)/12 into 4 is 3 multiply by the numerator (x+1)=3x+3 = 4x -8+ (3x+3) = 4x +3x = 7x, -8+3x-5 = 7x -5/12

Question, , , , If cross multiplied, answer becomes 7x-5... Is it necessary to have that answer over the LCM, or is 7x-5 correct on its own?? Or, does it depend on the way the question is written. It doesn't say answer in fraction form??? Sorry, I am just curious, I am 76 and learning math from the
