For anyone wondering about the congrid eel larvae pictured...

Tarpons are actually closely related to eels, although their adult form looks more like a regular fish. The leptocephalic stage (first larval stage) that was referred to in the video is where you can really see the order-level relationship between tarpons and eels.

I saw these in August of 2016 feeding on restaurant scraps, (fish), on Grand Cayman Island. They were approximately a meter long, so they must have been young adults.

We here in the bvi try not to catch em at all. Too many bones and a pain to catch. Not worth the effort
