Thanks for the shout out. I appreciate it.
Film the Z Arm at the beginning of the print cycle when suction on the FEP is at its max. If there's any flex, that's when it will show 👍

I was really interested in this printer at the start of the video, but tying the hardware to a specific piece of software, especially one which is subscription based, is a big no for me.

It’s a pass for me. Being locked to Chitubox slicer is a deal breaker. That’s too bad since it seems like a good build.

LOVE this channel! Apprehension toward resin printing solved with just a few of your vids! Instant sub! Many thanks!!!

Also, really appreciate you addressing the ZWobble mentioned by other users. That concern had stopped me dead in my tracks til now.

Would you recommend this resin printer over the Anycubic Mono X? I'm looking for my first resin printer and the only down side to the new Mars is the software being locked down or having to pay for the Pro version. Any help would be highly appreciated! Keep up the great work!

So happy to see this video. I pre ordered and it's my first 3d printer. I think I made a good choice!

Personally love the 2 screw system. I have 3 Saturn's and 6 mars pro 2s, and I fight with that slide system every time. I was so glad to see the mars 3 used the saturn style. The trick is, don't fully remove the screws from the vat. Unscrew them all the way but leave them in the vat, and you won't drop them.

I have a Mars Pro, and just purchased a Mercury Pro for cleaning. If I get the Mars 3, will the build plate fit into the Mercury Pro, or do we need to go up to the Mercury X? Great review, now I have to decide if I want to upgrade to the 3 or just stick with my Mars Pro.

Thanks for a perfect video, I purchased my Mars 3 just last night and was worried about the Z wobble and the chitu lock but knowing yours Is fine and i can continue to use the free version of chitu after my free sub has ran out I'm feeling a lot more confident. Thanks again. I'm excited to play with my fist resin printer and I will be using your tutorials and tips for sure.

Love your reviews and as for Eastman he's just always on another level when it comes to designing models! I love to see you print one of his surprise eggs on a resin printer!

LCD is a consumable item. It has a much shorter lifespan than the manufacturer has announced. You should also consider the price and availability of your LCD.

Slick edit at the beginning! Love it!

Edit: I have also not noticed a Z-wobble in my machine, but will check into this based on VOG's comments from his video.

Thanks for the video. But, with the Chitubox locked board and slicer, I'm thinking about canceling my Mars 3 pre-order.

As long as the machine is locked to a slicer, I would say it should have a not recommended.

First 16 minutes of video: Wow, I think I might actually snag one of these! Hit 16:22...nope! That kind of crap is anti-consumer and we need to put the breaks on this practice with our wallets.

Would definitely have bought one of these to go alongside my Saturn.. 4K over a smaller area for better detail.
However due to the Chitubox shenanigans it makes it no longer an option.. both practically and the fact that I'll not support this nonsense.

is chitubox slicer only required for this model? (and not 2 pro or Saturn) Already pre ordered it 😶

Hey man, I like how you edited the Z wobble discussion in your video at the last minute. Also appreciate your frank comments on the whole chitu situation.
Overall this is a good machine if people can accept the chitu locks and the potential long term issues from the z wobble. I'm guessing long term use with large heavy prints might wear down the z axis with those wobbles over time and splash resin around, the latter potentially damaging screens by curing on them.
