Thank you so much! I have an older Acer and have tried several different keys to get the Boot Manager. Didn't know this needed to be enabled! You're a lifesaver.

Thank you. My device crashed so I installed a new Windows, unfortunately this was not compatible with my device so I had to install a different one a few weeks later which led me here. This was perfect for my issue

I have the same problem with the same make and model and I was able to solve it.

As per the thread starter said you need to download the V1.15 as it contains all the necessary file and instructions on how to flash the bios.

1. Go to acer website and put in the SIND number of the laptop and from the bios option download the the version 1.15.
2. Extract it and from the downloaded file you will have a Crisis folder and from there you will have a word document with instructions on how to flash the bios.

Hope this helps.

Does this work for the Aspire e1-470 model? I think I might have a faulty or corrupted hard drive, or keyboard since it doesn't go to the DVD drive to install Windows when I press down to select it like the keyboard isn't responding. Or the CD that has the installer isn't reading it properly.
