Pre-wetting Paint Rollers. Painting Tips Rolling Walls.

Interior painting tips using a paint roller. Paint roller hacks. Pre-wetting and pre-cleaning your paint rollers is a good practice. It keeps roller lint (fuzz) from being released on your walls. Once they dry on the wall it is almost impossible to remove. Pre-wetting also help rollers clean up faster and easier.

Spinning roller with hose is definitely an art. When done properly woks great. Returns quality roller to like new condition and almost dry to the touch

I have never seen someone clean a roller that way before. Down here in the South we let the five gallon bucket stand up with the opened ends on top and then hang the handle of the 9-in roller inside the bucket with the nap on the outside opposite you. Can you take the water nozzle and you spray it and it spins it that way keeps you nice and clean and dry.

My moto, never use cheap rollers, lambs wool or skin only, but for the home owner good advice chris !!

Using the bucket so you don't get sprayed was very smart

I was wondering, because we usually just roll it on blue tape if its new before use, gets he job done.

Hi Chris. If you wet the new roller do i need to remove as much water before i actually dip the roller in paint tray?

Do you have to wait for the roller to dry before the first use in paint or can you just go for it?

I tried this, and when I began painting, all the water was running down the door from the roller. It would have been a ruined paint job if I never had a brush to quickly smoothen out all the water runs.

How do i clean dried paint off a roller ???

This advice just messed everything up for me.
Water was flinging everywhere and it watered down my paint in my tray.

That's why I buy good 18inch roller sleeves so I don't have this problem, I have 18inch rollers that are 5yrs old and I have 9inch roller sleeves that are 10 plus years or more, cleaning rollers, brushes ect is already built into into my prices and quotes, and I realize everyone has thier own way of doing things, I price 90% of my jobs by the squre ft, unless the job is small then I will give them a price, I find charging by the hour useles because your cheating yourself out of money and time,
