I had a leak where the heater hoses connect to the water pump. Got that piece replaced and went with new heater hoses at the same time as hoses were original (2005.) Main radiator hoses replaced 2 years ago. Last summer was a hot one, no coolant leaks during that time.

Any tips for when you have already had the water pump and thermostat replaced but are still leaking? I've run pressure tests and those come back fine but never see any coolant on the ground. After I top it off I get the low coolant light after about 6 months

The special tool to remove the heater hose didn’t work for shit. Had to resort to cutting the plastic piece at the fire wall with a multi tool. I went a little to far the teeth of the blade hit the pipe that the hose connects to. Put on some jb weld put everything back together and she’s still going about 3 years now.🤣

The heater core itself for the last 3 winters I’ve had many other things to do so it can stay on the road. Maybe soon? Probably not needs a new back glass roof skin and a paint job FMLLLL🤣🤣🤣

Hey Matt! Just curious as to your thoughts on brake calipers. Should they just be ignored if working OK; or should they be replaced at any certain particular point in time due to age and possibly seal leaking?

Not true. They would leak after long ... And I say long time, like any other vehicle. But not as bad as them little four bangers wich will give problems in four or five.

Or if you’re mentally challenged and decide to put racing heads on it that max out the stock injectors, then you don’t keep your foot out of it because it sounds so damn good and blow a head gasket that makes it start overheating, that could be a possibility too 😭
