The dissolution of the Senate saw them transferred into menial positions, effectively working as security guards. The Senate Guards were mocked for their costumes and insulted as they were assumed to be imperial academy dropouts.

It would of been cool to see some kind of Senate guard try to fight back or a uprising against the empire or against sidious. because they were some of the finest soldiers and meant to protect high officials and keep what they heard to the grave. Not some position for a ordinary fellow.

There should be a fight in legends were the senate guards redeem themselves by protecting some senators and maybe luke from imperial stormtroopers and the red guards of palpatine.
