"Women are Talking" - Mark Wahlberg, 2023

No one's campaigned harder this awards season than Jamie Lee Curtis and she's really been promoting the movie and Michelle Yeoh, she hasn't been campaigning for herself. So I'm happy for her, even if I would probably put her 3rd on my own list.

I was not surprised by Jamie Lee's win. They like her and she created a great character and want to award her legacy.

It's not unbelievable. They are in BELOVED movie. JLC win is kinda wild but that just reaffirms the love for EEAAO.

SAG awards went smooth. No commercials are nice.

Talk about a complete 180° turn for EEAAO: going from one win at the BAFTA'S to sweeping the SAG Awards 👀

I hope you do catch the acceptance speeches! Jamie Lee Curtis (best speech and smooch), Jessica Chastain, Ke Huy Quan, Brendan Fraser, Michelle Yeoh and her cute f bomb, *and* JAMES HONG at the end! That was the most generous thing the EEAAO cast has done for each other!

The SAG awards was really well done and fun. You really should have watched it. Much better than the awful BAFTA awards ceremony. I was pleasantly surprised.

When EEAAO’s cast won tonight it was extremely special, their oldest cast member was in his 90’s and got to accept the award. Michelle Yeoh won the Globe as well, and the SAG- I think she has the edge. I also wouldn’t toss aside Stephanie or Jamie for the Oscar either. These shows don’t follow any type of flow anymore. EEAAO may sweep at the Oscars, SAG is the closest thing to the industry vote.

Kinda shocked you didn't watch the SAG AWARDS. You only saw the winners and being a movie guy I think you really missed out. It was one of the most unique awards shows I have ever seen. It was streamed on netflix and youtube and there were no commercials. The show cruised by. The surprises and acceptance speeches were out of this world. Everyone had this freedom to really express themself and thank whomever they needed to without being rushed off stage. There was this outstanding feeling that the oscars are going to be more competitive than originally thought. It was definitely a bright spot in this whole awards season. This may sound mean but I hope you really are into film awards and not just covering things to have some content to lean on to be relevant in the moment. Just about everyone that is in the youtube game of analyzing awards watched it and ended up being beyond surpised how smooth the show was and the excitement of things beeing tossed up in the air. The emotiona speeches and the amazing respect these actors had for each other. The oscars should be great but the new format of streaming gave a whole new experenced that I am sure will be missed at the oscars. Sorry to be so rough on you but you really missed out.

Brendan Fraser might have a bit of an edge because he also won the Hollywood Critics Association award recently!!

I think it speaks volumes that when they did the shots of the cast- EEAAO were all holding each other's hands like a family circle!

The supporting actress category is about to get interesting

At 9:49, hey you mentioned that someone tweeted on Twitter that this is the first time in years in which that there are no clean sweeps in any of the acting categories. Well that was MY tweet you’re talking about Austin!! So thanks for that shoutout in some way lol!! 😂

And I did do some research into that and it is indeed true. (Thanks and kudos to The Oscar Expert for saying this piece of information too lol!! 😂) This is the first time since 2002 in which there are no clean sweeps in any of the acting categories!!

Angela Bassett won GG and Critics Choice, Jamie Lee Curtis won SAG and Kerry Condon won BAFTA in the Supporting Actress category. In Supporting Actor, Ke Huy Quan won everywhere except for BAFTA in which Barry won for that. In Lead Actor, Austin Butler won GG’s and the BAFTA while Brendan Fraser won the Critics Choice and the SAG (leading to the Oscar being the tiebreaker for the award). And finally in Lead Actress, Cate Blanchett won everywhere except for the SAGs in which Michelle Yeoh won for that. So yeah, we are about to see some craziness and big shocks for the Oscars in less than two weeks and I’m definitely here for it lol!! 😂

Great reaction video my friend and thanks for the subtle shoutout with my tweet!! ❤️😊

Everything Everywhere is such a lock at this point that it almost makes the category uninteresting at the Oscar’s

I think that Michelle Yeoh is going to win the Oscar, and here's one of my reasons why: EEAAO has shown it has the most widespread support across the industry. It performed extremely well at the guilds, from the DGA, PGA and SAG to the Art Director's Guild and the Makeup and Hairstyling Guild, the movie has extremely wide-reaching support, and I think people will want to award Michelle Yeoh as both an extension of the movie and also awarding the actress herself for her body of work. I might eat these words but I think Michelle Yeoh has the support for her movie that can carry her across the finish line.

I deeply regret not betting money on Jamie Lee Curtis on Bovada. That was my wild card and I think she will repeat at the Oscars. However, after tonight her odds went up through the roof and you won't get as much money. I think Michele Yeoh and Curtis' chances at the Oscars go hand in hand.
