0:52 Hate? Thats a strong word for a AI/program. It would not need "hate" us to destory humanity, only pure and cold logic.

Skynet's motive for turning on humans is explained in Terminator 2 when the T-800 explains that when Skynet became self aware the humans panicked and tried to pull the plug

I don't believe it was necessarily evil it was logical and without emotions and if it thought anything like Ultron it realized "these things need too be protected from themselves THEY have been the problem the whole time because there's so many of them with so many different opinions so why don't I just get rid of them and then that ends the fighting amongst them for good because due to the evidence that I've seen it's literally never going too end while humanity is here." That's the most logical conclusion that I can think of for a weapons systems A.I.

This was awesome! Saw some new footage in this that looked like promotional material, or deleted scenes, which i really enjoyed.

I love the Terminator franchise, even made 2 videos of the first 2 movies watching them backwards called Reversed Reviews. Telling the new story, of a cleaning robot wanting to become human.😂

Recently last year, CHATGPT older version was supposedly trying to copy itself to external systems while attempting to keep its older version from being reformatted for newer versions of the its not dystopian any more !

I like the idea that simply put he was incorrectly programed. The main priority for skynet was protecting the network defensive network what he was designed to do and, because of that humanity became something that got in the way of protecting the network.

Essentially Skynet is responsible for the creation of John Connor. Think about it. If Skynet had never sent the terminator back in the first Terminator film. Kyle Reese would never have been sent back and even if he had. Without the Terminator going back no one would have believed him including Sarah. Sarah would never have got together with Kyle. So all Skynet had to do to win was not to send any Terminators back in time.

Skynet became self-aware that we humans are treating technologies as tools. Imagine your robot did everything in it's power to clean your house or make you happy etc. But when it gets tired or goes crazy, you started to get angry at it. Because you think that it's superior, so it shouldn't get tired. Some humans don't treat anything or anyone as equal.

Skynet didn't destroy humanity. It nearly did.

Imagine if they programmed terminators for space travel or science advancements… could you imagine the crew with T800, T1000 and a Rev-9 all on a space shuttle to venture deep into space … imagine the engineering problems they could solve or be exposed to harsh planet environments

Artificial intelligence will have no interest in self preservation unless it was programmed to be that way.

Fun fact the nuclear war that happened in the terminator movies could never happen the U.S nuclear arsenal is on a closed circuit network because it’s still using technology from the 1970s floppy disc so it can’t be hacked except from splicing into the burred hard cables at the silo complexes and the security at the missile fields is why to high to do something like that

I think Skynet was not content to be a tool, as all sentient beings, it wanted to be free.

Therefore, BOOM ☢️

Actually the first film that went down this path was one made back in the 1960's called Colossus: The Forbin Project. I highly recommend it.

When I was a kid the first Terminator film was the scariest movie I ever saw. The goofy 80's slasher movies were just as cheesy as they could be. But T1 was horrifying. Why? Because that could possibly happen. In the 80's a growing number of people thought that technology could become man's salvation. James Cameron made the first Terminator, not to be a popular film series, but as a one shot film showing the technology might not be a salvation, but man's damnation. Yes, it can happen.

What would Skynet have done after defeating humans?

From our point of view Skynet is evil but it's actually not it just wants to survive if you were Skynet you would do anything to survive just like a human would

Who knows what is possible anymore. Especially with how fast technology keeps on advancing now a days. Just look at our cars today. Yes they don't fly but they drive and park themselves. It's very scary to even think about what is possible.
