Which Draft Grade Was Your Favorite Or Least Favorite? 🤔

Brad Holmes Magic. Detroits draft classes the past 3 years have been insane.

Crazy that if Justin Fields gets traded, Trevor Lawrence will be the only 1st round QB in the 21' and 22' draft to still be with the team that drafted them.

Wilson-Likely cut or traded
Lance- Traded
Fields- Likely traded
Mac Jones-Traded
Kenny Pickett-Traded

Update Fields and Wilson got traded lol. Also I said 21' AND 22' 1ST ROUND QBs!

Sewell is a future HOFer. He makes it look too easy.
Have ya ever seen an NFL team gameplan to get their RT involved like the Lions do? You have now. Penei is a beast.
Sewell is my favorite lion. This is a very likable team as a whole so its tough but i love everything about sewell. Perfect attitude, leadership, and hes the best in the league at a very important position

Im sorry but the music intensifying at 20:47 and your overall grade of Zach's performance that was just cold.

I was SUPER pumped for Jaycee Horn coming out of the draft. I even said he was better than Patrick Surtain. Ugh. Man just can't stay healthy to save his life.

Penei Sewel is only 23 and is regarded as the best RT in football he is going to have a lot of All Pro Seasons ahead of him.... teams just be prepared when he declares as eligible

HOT TAKE: I’ll always say this, from the QBs, covid made their numbers inflate and made them look good so they were drafted way higher than they should’ve been

10:47 Its almost insane to consider the Broncos drafted a Pro Bowl CB and ended up worse for it. I can guarantee you the Russell Wilson trade happened because of the backlash to this pick. Most Broncos fans DESPISED this pick and immediately began calling for George Paton's job because he didn't pick Fields here. Even though corner was a legit need for the Broncos because of letting Chris Harris and Bradley Roby go. Even though basically all common sense in the world told you that Fields was probably gonna be a bust. Even as someone who liked the pick, I find myself going "Man I wish we had drafted Fields here, because at least if we draft Fields and he still ends up a bust, we probably don't trade the equivalent of 4 first round picks and 100 million dollars of cap space for Russell Wilson, who mind you, played worse than Fields for most of his tenure in Denver."

Trevor is fantastic. If you think the Jags are bad, imagine them without him.

Micah falling off in the last month of every season needs to be talked about. They talk about a rookie wall but he's a vet now, he's worn out come playoff time

The Trey Lance pick stings even more, cause while the Jets were bad enough to land the 2nd overall pick, the 49ers traded up for a project QB that did not pan out. For the 3rd overall pick, the 49ers had to surrender 3 1st round picks (12th overall in 2021, 29th overall in 2022, and 29th overall in 2023), and a 3rd round pick in 2022 (101st overall) as a sweetener to the Dolphins. Ironically, none of the 1st round picks acquired by the Dolphins were actually used by the team, as you will find out.
The 1st one stings very hard, cause while the Dolphins did not pick him, that 12th overall pick became Micah Parsons, who is the current pivot of the Cowboys defense. The tale of how the Cowboys got this pick is an interesting one, as the Eagles also held it at one point before sending it to the Cowboys.
The 1st round pick in 2022 was sent to the Chiefs as part of the Tyreek Hill trade, which the Chiefs in turn flipped it to the Patriots for their 1st round pick, which became Trent McDuffie. The Patriots ended up selecting OL Cole Strange, which pun intended, is a strange selection to say the least. He's there, but not a set the world on fire type of guy.
Staying in 2022, the 3rd round pick WAS used by the Dolphins to select LB Channing Tindall, who is still with the team as a rotational player. Kind of on par with what you expected from someone picked in the 3rd round.
The 1st round pick in 2023 was sent to the Broncos as part of the Bradley Chubb trade, and the Broncos traded this pick to the Saints for the rights to HC Sean Payton. The Saints would use this pick on DT Bryan Bresee, and while it is still too early to evaluate, Bresee is shaping up to be a solid presence in the Saints defensive line.
Hindsight is 20/20, but if Parsons was still available on the board at 12th, there is no way the 49ers would pass up bolstering their potent front 7 by adding Parsons (imagine Parsons AND Bosa coming at the QB together). The 49ers would not have picked Strange in 2022 given the chance, but they would have gone for the guy picked after him: George Karlaftis. The 49ers must be kicking themselves to let the Chiefs have Karlaftis and McDuffie (who ended up with the Chiefs via proxy from the Dolphins trading picks) Furthermore, Bryan Bresee would have also been a welcome addition to their front 7, especially now that Javon Kinlaw is gone. All the 49ers have to show after trading for Trey Lance, and then trading him away, is a 4th rounder this year (2024), pick yet to be determined. While the 49ers have shown to have found diamonds in the rough before (George Kittle and Talanoa Hufanga), anyone they pick is probably nowhere near the caliber of Micah Parsons, George Karlaftis, or Bryan Bresee.

The thing about Mac is not only the missing of help, but also the availabe QB prospects and the need at 15

Trevor Lawrence only being one grade better than Justin Fields feels wrong.

Don’t know how Fields gets a C while Wilson gets an F when Fields was in a much better situation yet yielded basically the same results. Seems like the NFL as a whole feels similarly about him
