Pickleball strategy is constantly evolving over time, and the game will never be the same. Here's a guide to how the game is changing and how you can keep up.

This is a match analysis video featuring our against Ben Johns and Collin Johns in the Men's Doubles quarterfinals at the PPA in Fontainebleau, Las Vegas!

I played with Riley Newman and this is some of the highest quality, fastest, most chaotic pickleball you'll ever see.

You and CJ need to hug it out. You're both great players. It's just a game. Be a great human being first and foremost.

When I watched this match I thought it was one of the best games I had ever seen. You guys crushed it. Really interesting to now watch you break it down.

It’s been really intriguing to follow your growth and career. My husband and I were taking photos with you before you were in the top 5 players. We always knew you would be someone special to watch. Really enjoyed these videos and so happy for all your success that’s coming with your hard work!

Love your comment about the first point: you can initiate an attack in the middle by not hitting it hard and down, forcing the opponents to have to hit it up, giving your partner an opportunity to finish the point. So much to learn!

Right side needs to generate offense. I've been hearing this alot and I agree. You cant be a balanced team with one player agressive and one player defensive. Makes it too easy to target. This is the highest level of breakdown I've seen on youtube. Thanks for sharing Christian and helping us amateurs become better. Much appreciated.

Thank you for this video. I really enjoyed your analysis. It was very informative. I also give you full props for having the humility to identify your mistakes as a means of helping viewers like me learn key aspects of pickleball, such as proper positioning. I know that it takes alot of time to create this type of deeper dive video; and it is very much appreciated.

Love these breakdowns- subbed and following the newsletter. The court positioning and thought process behind the sped-ups is VERY helpful.

So basically in summary of the video: Develop fast hands and you win.

Christian - keep going! Love what you're doing! I got my pic with you in ATL CIBC. Thank for taking the time. I'd LOVE a paddle!!! I live in The Villages FL. The precision of your strategy and having the endurance is amazing....and you are willing to expose yourself to let the other pros see. Watching you and Collin after the match at CIBC ATL and LW asking you not to say anything was interesting. I don't know all of the details....but I'd like to ask you, what are your strategies off the court??....and where is the line when people cross it to you or you to them. Other than your scoring results what are you trying to do with the bantering back to Collin or others, if you want to share. Thanks Brother! I want to see you at the TOP!!!

Thank you for breaking it down. Very useful. Grateful. Dinking for me is a difficult skill to master as are the volley/hand battles. Trying to pick up tips.

I always preferred playing the right side as well, not because of the pretext of being not a dominant left side player but because of the ideology of being a dominant right-side player as important to the match chemistry. Thank you for highlighting the strategy, as when dominant right side player steps in the match chemistry becomes very fluid. Colin Johns has been improving dominance as a right-side player ever since he has moved into pickleball.

Your court movement and positioning reminds me of high level tennis positioning! Appreciate the more aggressive play from the right side... Keep pushing the game forward 🤘

I totally agree about having two alpha players is the future. Especially in pro Pickleball I think that’s why the John brothers have now come back to winning when they were struggling in the first part of the season is Colin is now playing much more aggressively. Great breakdown!
