Don’t forget to mention. While in the studio under florescent bulbs. The pipe was exposed to u v rays. Not as much as out side. But this info will save you from messing with the class action lawsuit. Cover the pipe in areas where artificial light exists.

Is there a suggested rest time for the tube and ring to completely shrink down, before adding water pressure?

Good job explaining, I was under the impression that the blue and red was discontinued from Uponor due to reliability issue, is this the case or not?

Should the collar be able to rotate? Even after minimal expansion once the fitting is applied and pushed on, while the connection seems solid and cannot be pulled off it can be easily rotated. Is this expected?

I’m new with using pex is it better to use metal fittings or the plastic fittings

Is there a way of expanding the pipe without buying a special tool? I just need to install 3 feet of it.

Will "Old" pex a (installed 16 years ago) still expand & contract well?

FYI: Don't use Pex if the water is treated with Chloramines! it will cause Pex (and copper) to fail. Or install a carbon filter to remove the Chloramines from the water.

Im doing a whole house in pex a and was wondering if the sharkbite brand pex a was a good choice

installed pex a in a bathroom addition in the winter, around 35 deg. days later have a 90% leak rate out of 25 fittings. bought the dewalt tool with sharkbite brand pipe and fittings. trash!

Pex is a rodent magnet I wouldn't install it in my home. Rats love chewing through pex want to get at the water entire house floods.

PexA is too expensive and limited availability. Amazon and Home Depot sell mostly PexB.
