In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place: and in the sky
The larks still bravely singing fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead: Short days ago,
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved: and now we lie
In Flanders fields!

Take up our quarrel with the foe
To you, from failing hands, we throw
The torch: be yours to hold it high
If ye break faith with us who die,
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields

Standing on my doorstep at 11am today, November 8. My mum started crying and I did too. My grandad was a territorial army soldier and at his funeral he had a full military sendoff. This was played as his coffin was lowered into the ground. 😔😰😭

I remember this playing every night and morning at a cadet camp in Ontario. This made me feel proud whenever they played it over the speakers.. Can't wait to join the army

Thank you for this, I played it today after having my own remeberence ceremony in the garden for my friends. Had a whisk, poured one out for my friends then stood there remembering the good times with them.

Again thank you for the last post.

R.I.P Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
Her majesty died peacefully at Balmoral on September 8th, 2022 at around 13:30pm.
The new king, King Charles III now reigns over *17* countries.

Queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 96, old age struck her life.

Let us all have a 2 minutes silence for Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II and all of the deceased soldiers of the war.

RIP Elizabeth Regina & Deceased War Fighters

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
