It's not about the money, it's about being a cop in a liberal city like Dallas. In five (5) new officers, at least two (2) will quit during FTO, when they find out that they do not have the support of the city leaders and citizens. Eddie Garcia is a great chief, but he won't win this fight against a corrupt DA and city council.

Good for them they need it. DPD ain't bad. They are overworked and under appreciated. I really don't like LEO'S but I've lived in Dallas and was born in Dallas and most of our LEO'S are down to earth. Most leave to San Antonio becauseits better paying... the correctional officers in the county jail are a joke though. No professionalism and straight ghetto.
