I've owned my grenadier a since January and done about 12000km now. I'm 181cm and size 11. I never wear boots, and only drive wearing shoes or sandals. its doesn't bother me at all. However, also worth noting I've never driven more than four hours in one go. The door handle sticking is annoying as it happens when we have big rain also, and my car play maps still doesn't work properly. Other than that, the car has been faultless and i love it. 100% would buy it again.

I've had my grenny for 3K+ miles and I absolutely love it. Thank you Ronny because it was your real-world offroad tests and your credibility that convinced me to buy one. I do miss my old FJ62 but after driving it for 34 years and 400, 000+ miles it was time to get something new and the Grenadier fulfilled my needs. Please keep the honesty, the objectivity and the Grenadier content coming.

Press the off-road button and that turns the sensors off, changes the traction control activation and changes the engine mapping for off-road driving. The door locks are a known issue that is fixed at the first service. The footwell works for me as I prefer sitting more upright like you’re in a chair with knees bent at closer to 90 degrees. I’m 6’1” and push the seat right back and lift it to its maximum height. I have the petrol that has a bit more go than the diesel. It has worse fuel consumption as a trade off. Very happy with the car and about to head to the Gibson desert 😀😀

UK driver of a specced up Fieldmaster since January 2024. I'm 6ft and size 8, driven it in boots (forestry) and trainers and the left foot pad has absolutely never been an issue, didn't even notice it from day one. Regarding the sensors going off when off road - just select OFF ROAD mode from the overhead panel and it cancels them. I am delighted with this vehicle, so much better than my 2012 LR Defender.

Nice to see Skippy is still out there crushing it! I really like that ladder/gas can combo. Great design on that.

Grenadier owner since April 23. 15k miles. 187cm and size 10 feet (UK). Hump is fine and you get used to it. My tip is to raise the seat as much as you can so that the difference between left and right feet/leg angle position is minimal. Great review Ronny. Thanks

One of the only guys whose opinion matters when it comes to four wheel driving! The Ineos has my attention. ;)

Great video as always - keep the Grenadier content coming. Had mine for about 2 months. Had AdBlue on my last vehicle - the filling issue will be because you didn’t have the magnetic collar. You need to ask the attendant for it if it isn’t attached to the bowser. Problem with containers is they cost more than at the pump. After about 150k km including remote travel AdBlue was a non-issue for me. Grenadier parking sensors can be disabled permanently in the settings. Totally agree it’s not a perfect vehicle, but by some margin it’s the best on the market for my use case. I’m 180cm, size 10 shoe, footrest is comfortable for me in all footwear on long drives (but yet to do a 12hr stint in the drivers seat).

Hi Ronny- I’ve had my Grenadier for a year and a half. 180cm, size 42, almost always wear boots. The foot lump is very comfortable for me. I prefer it to my 200 series where I’m constantly looking for a comfortable position and almost always end up with leg pain after a long journey. In the Grenadier I’ve had no such issues, even in boots, driving 8-10 hours off-road a day. Totally agree about the offroad comfort- it just feels more planted and there’s very little bouncing around. I’ve got the Africa spec trailmaster, so no adblue! It’s the perfect vehicle for me!

the part where you guys are around the fire, talking about the lump left foot thing....your pup there enjoying the lounge chair and fire and his human companions is just what life is all about.

Good Insights and honest review of the Pros and Cons of the Grenny.
I've owned mine for 7 months, done 6, 000 miles several trips being out for up to two weeks at a time. I did a rear seat delete, custom interior build, Added REDARC Manager 30 with 100ah Lithium batt.
The hump on the right side isn't an issue for NA spec trucks as we are left hand drive .
The niggles you point out are some of the same things I find a tad bit annoying about mine. Are these little issues going to make me say the truck is unacceptable, Nope!
I think the the good things this vehicle offers by far outweigh the small nuisance's.
Is the the best Factory built 4x4? I'll never say there is a perfect 4wheel drive. But for the type of vehicle I want to use, it is purpose built and suits my needs and met my expectations in many ways.

Most cars, even 4wd, have a reclined seating position but the Grenadier is quite upright and I’ve found a number of advantages. Visibility, and leaning forward for more isn’t an abb workout. Feet sit fairly flat on the floor and the left foot hump isn’t an issue. Not being tossed around off road I call the Shakira effect - being upright means you’re pivoting at the hips not the neck (“head toss”) as you do when you are more reclined and the backrest is holding your torso in place. It’s also a mistake to think sitting upright is a problem for long drives as it’s actually the ergonomically correct seated position.

Good to see the Grenadier back and put through its paces. Thankyou

We drove out of there in a 2.4 naturally aspirated Diesel Hilux on ARB suspension. We had a full load of camping gear on board and 9 PSI in the 750x16 tyres. I was tail end on a 4WD club trip and the only vehicle that made it up without assistance.

I have no intention of purchasing this vehicle. I don't go off-road; I don't have any toys, no dirt bikes, no atvs, no side by side. I drive a FWD. I'm just here to watch and support great content.

I like the “dead pedal” on my US version Grenadier so much, I bought an aftermarket version for my Jeep. I’m 6’ 2 / 188 cm size 12/46 boot.  It’s comfortable!
I live in Colorado so mud is not an issue. I spend a lot of time in the desert. The Grenadier has been stellar on the sand and rock. It’s more sure footed and better tuned than the Jeeps, Broncos and Land Cruisers I’ve owned. Zero regrets in buying the Gren. I kept my LX 100 series for 23 years and almost 300, 000 miles I’m planning the same for the Grenadier. These are the keys my kids will take away from me. I love it.

Love my Grenadier… I’m 6’1” with size 11 feet and the left foot hump is no problem even with boots on… keep up the good work 👍

Thanks for your honest review, comments and feedback in this vid.

My left foot thing (6’1”, 12 shoesize) is similar to yours Ronny. Barefoot or “normal” footwear is fine. That said I modified my footwell by removing the OEM floor tray then added 2 layers of dynamat and a carpet tile. Worked for me on a 7000km round trip to Emu Junction. In the car every day for minimum of 4hrs at least.
