Medical mistakes and errors are the third leading cause of death in this country. Great healthcare system. People are hospitalized daily for non infectious disease issues, then contract infection while hospitalized. I admire those working at this time. Must be difficult. Yet let’s have perspective. Since when was being hospitalized for an infection suddenly so alarming? Happens everyday. He gives no details on co morbidities of these patients or if their PCP ever bothered to see them in person before punting them to the hospital system to deal with.
