With the dawn of 2022, the time has come to look beyond the shadows of the past. Let us escape this distorted reality by returning to the best version of ourselves. I'm going to be honest here and you can hate on me how much you want. BUT, this isn't a top 10 anymore, it's a popularity contest between 4-5 artists. And of course, top artists that bring out good tracks deserve a spot in the top ten, take for example Take It All (Headhunterz Remix). Even though I didn't for it myself, I think it deserves it. The top ten that it ended on I voted for only two of these tracks (Ghost of Us, Dance With The Devil), but same as last year, I see in the top five only three artists (if I don't count DBSTF in that remix) and it proves my point again that popularity is something huge for a list like this.

Vertile had an amazing year and proudly ended Change This Place on #13, but looking at his other tracks, #17 Walk With Me, #43 Echoes (Remix), #44 The New Normal he actually had a fenominal year, but to see The New Normal lower than Echoes (only by one spot, I know) kinda breaks my heart. Seeing only ONE Sickmode track in the top 100 breaks my heart too. Hard Driver had four tracks, the highest one being with Coone & Da Tweekaz on spot #42. Come on guys... please don't vote for one artist only.

MYST ended his career as well this year, adn to see a really good artist leave and ended up at place #56 Life Eternal really kills me. I can keep going, but after all I can't change the community with just a few words.

All the contributing artists, congratulations on your spots in the Hardstyle Top 100 and I really graduate SZP for making Trip To Mars to #1, but majorly comes to the community who just listens to them and vote for only them. DBSTF had a really great album this year and deserve a few spots in the top ten as well. Warface had a really amazing album too. And other artists (Sickmode, MYST, and many more) that made unbelievable tracks this year deserve all my respect. But to see, for example, A New Beginning at #6. I really wish popularity voting wasn't a thing and half of the community wouldn't vote.
