As promised, here is the first complete video of the series Tlaxcala. We kick off with the magical firefly sanctuary. An experience that needs to be lived at least once in a lifetime. Also we get to enjoy the surroundings, the small town of San Felipe Hidalgo and get some delicious food in Nanacamilpa. I hope you enjoy this natural beauty and the mating ritual of the firefly in Mexico.

Yeap. I remember seeing fireflies when I went camping many years ago. The experience is unique. But, of course, it's really hard to take pictures or video there, like people who try to take pics to the moon, unless you have a huge and powerful equipment. Back then, my mobile phone was really cheap, lol, and it rained a lot. Yet, it was really good to know about those little ones. I never knew they were toxic.

Good morning, Rafa. This was fascinating. As a boy growing up in Texas, I called fireflies "lightning bugs" (bichos de relámpago) ... not a term I made up ... in many parts of the southern United States lightning bugs is what people say to refer to fireflies. But it sounds even more beautiful in Spanish: luciérnagas. :-) What beautiful scenes you shared with us -- thank-you for that ... and thank-you for taking me back to my childhood when, in my backyard, I would gleefully look for fireflies on humid Summer nights. :-) Un abrazote from Jody (which I use more than Joseph ... and in the Spanish language that I have loved all my life, I'm Pepe.). :-)
