I love all of these shows. La Nouba for it’s collision of fantasy and reality, the surreal colors of Varekai, and the deep complex themes of Quidam.

That’s truly unique shows and I am very proud to be part of this wonderful family. La Nouba, when I hear this word or music or watch the show I have so much emotions and goosebumps, because I was personally working in this show. And Varekai and Quidam just have seen in Live. No words just beautiful and awesome. OMG. Please come back alive.

I first went to Disney World in November, 2001. My wife (girlfriend then) absolutely insisted we go see Cirque du Soleil... I had NO idea what an incredible performance Cirque puts on!

Where to begin: The story... every Cirque show has a theme. La Nouba (literally, French for "The Spree" but really means, "The Life") has very unique characters (e.g., the giant, the "red guy", etc.)

The stage is quite versatile: It was obviously constructed just so each act could enter via "elevator" below the stage. The stage has many built-in trampolines--many extended the whole length & width of the stage.

The music (I'm a musician): So, I bought the CD (I invite you to as well). Much of the music in this video differs from the CD, which features a lot of Klezmer sounds, actually; in addition to some smooth jazz (soprano sax), awesome female vocals, and even a song with some rapping!

I've seen many Cirque shows, in Vegas, and travelling shows. I still say this one's the best. I'm extremely grateful to have seen it in its original format--there used to be at least 2 acts that I believe are "retired":

1) Chinese Garden: Little Chinese girls tossing what looks like yo-yos or large spools.

2) a La Lune: a lady (clown) with a birthday cake. She stacks wooden chairs, ascending in an odd order as she climbs it--WITH the cake. Once she's about 2-3 stories up, she lights the candles & holds it on her feet upside down...then collapses back down the stage! Quite the balancing act!

I was so saddened to hear when Cirque filed for bankruptcy last year (due to pandemic-related shutdowns). MGM owns them now (as they already own half of Vegas' casinos). I hope Cirque will one day be on their own again, as I truly believe much of their ingenuity, creativity, and quite frankly, hunger for ideas to be the best. That's how they got to the top in the first place.

I would give anything to see cirque live!! I've been a huge fan since I was 14, I'm 41 now and dream of seeing them live!!! Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to keep us entertained...we love you

La Nouba is one of my favorites, absolutely love seeing it here!
EDIT: kinda disappointed to not see the chair-stacking act because that one was just hilarious, but I'm glad both the trapeze and the trampoline made it in!

Triple Trapeze is such a great act, teamwork from the girls (i know for sure Stella Umeh & Raquel Karro) and that beautifull singing from Zara! And i love Olga Pikhienko's screentime in this, she is one of the people who starred in more than 1 show!

Watching La Nouba made me look back and remember my childhood, because it was one of the first shows I watched. I used to watch it with my father and... I almost cried because I miss him so much... thanks for bringing back the good old days, Cirque du Soleil
