Wave 4 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass arrives this spring. Look forward to the brand new Yoshi's Island course, as well as seeing Birdo return as a playable character!

something worth mentioning is that this course's lighting isnt so over saturated, and actually makes it look better than the previous waves. the lighting was always something people overlooked with the previous waves.

I seriously was not expecting Birdo to return. She hasn’t been in a mainline mario kart game since Wii! I imagine with each wave, they’ll be adding in or bringing back characters. I’m PRAYING that they bring funky kong back.

Now we got Birdo to join Yoshi's Island, with strange, but existing extra colors, we'll definitly get Petey Piranha with Piranha Plant Cove, but wait, what if the next waves bring MULTIPLE CHARACTERS instead of 1 with multiple colors options? Just saying ;)

So I had a realization about this game a few months ago.

The track designers are very careful about what characters get advertisements/brand names on the stages. Throughout the entirety of the base game, only playable characters got recognition on the billboards and posters. Since DLC released, that rule has now had two exceptions.

The first one I noticed was the many fully colored Birdo banners on the poles in Sydney Sprint. I thought it was odd to give attention to a character who wasn't even playable, until this direct. Lo and Behold, there's Birdo.

The Second I noticed was in Coconut Mall. There are posters that say "Kamek Book Store" with Kamek himself on it as well.

So basically, I'm sure Kamek is going to be released alongside a future wave of DLC.

i really doubt they will only add birdo, it won´t match whit the character selection screen, the most posible is that along whit her we may get 6 more characters for another row (begin she the 7th one) also, this tracks seems to have own sounds for the coins, kinda like waluigi pinball did whit the item box

The whole course is a resemblance to Yoshi’s New Island for the 3DS. And the theme is a remix of the obstacle course theme from the first Yoshi’s Island game.❤️

I’m glad birdo is back I just wanted to see star fox for the direct! Maybe in the next one for it’s year anniversary
