Thank you! This was refreshing to watch on ESPN.
This conversation and SVP's ability to facilitate with class and without clickbait is one of the few positive things about ESPN today. Stephen A Smith and First Take have helped to ruin sports culture. Shout out to SVP, Ryan, Jason & Marcus for this.

Tua, this coming from a 49ers fan, and man to man, brother I don’t know you but I love you as a human being, you have a FAMILY, the NFL don’t give 2 f*cks about you

Jason Kelce is right. NFL football is not played by normal rational people. You have to be insanely competitive and driven to rise in the sport. So, the same drive that got Tua to this level, will be the reason he doesn't retire.

Would love to see Tua sit out the whole year. Get some time to heal up and think everything over.

As a Dr, i would never clear him to play football knowing his history and possible repercussions. I wouldn’t want to be responsible for what could possibly happen to him on the field next time. He basically ran into Hamlin head first and collapsed in a rather scary way. It wasn’t some 300lbs DT sacking him

Just pray I never have to check my YouTube feed just to find heartbreaking news about a brain-damaged or crippled Tua. Prayer for Tua and his family 🙏

Well sure, he may be "acting like himself", "smiling, "making jokes", etc. but it's more about what his life will be down the road, as Swag alluded to.

Tua is one hit away from living in a bubble like literally

As a father, idc what the profession is, if you tell me there’s potential neurological repercussions and even a slight chance where it will affect my quality of life or put me at risk of forgetting my kids and mentally deteriorating I’m 100% not doing it. You chose to be a football player, but you were selected to be a father, it’s not worth it anymore Tua. We will always support you in Miami and have love for you. Thanks for making us relevant again and providing hope. You made your mark, “super bowls” aren’t the only defining accolades

If Tua dies on the field or he gets hurt so bad that he can't walk off the field again the NFL will forever be responsible for not making the decision to make him retire. It's not worth it Tua!

Steve Young was put in a similar position after getting another concussion. However, Steve was at the end of his career and had his Superbowl rings.

He said in an interview that he couldn't give Tua advice either way for the similar reason as Jason said. Tia is not in the place to give up the one thing that he loves to do in his life.

He's a competitor. He wants to win. He's going to push through until he feels like he can't anymore. I'm not even a Dolphins fan. I'm just another athlete and competitor who pushed as hard as I could until I couldn't anymore.

Who’s in charge of synching the audio at ESPN? Feels like that person has had a few concussions…

My problem with Tua is he doesn't do smart football plays cause of his size. Hold on the ball way to long to see if a play is there. Second, Running to score a touchdown or the first again Buffalo. Didn't slide down. Drew Brew was short. Brock Purdy is the same size 6'1. We don't hear the same issue like Tua. Either play smart football. Like don't hold on the ball that long. Throw away the ball for a another play. Learn to slide down before the crunch. Just saying

If Junior Seau were still with us I'm sure he could coach Tua on what he's looking at down the road.

We should also give advice to the other players that had multiple concussions. The NFL medical staff has the list

Imagine Tua comes back and a player running at him has to worry about "If I hit him too hard I might end his life"
