“Fingernails” is the second feature and first English-language film from visionary director, writer and producer Christos Nikou, whose directorial debut was the critically acclaimed “Apples.”

“Fingernails” is co-written by Nikou, Stavros Raptis and Sam Steiner. In addition to Nikou, “Fingernails” is produced by Cate Blanchett, Andrew Upton and Coco Francini for Dirty Films and Lucas Wiesendanger for FilmNation Entertainment. The film is executive produced by FilmNation Entertainment’s Glen Basner, Milan Popelka and Alison Cohen, alongside Ashley Fox, Kevin Lafferty and Jerome Duboz.

Fingernails copied their idea from the Webtoon LUFF by Arechan. The story has 93.4M Reads on Webtoon and 1.2M Subscriptions! With a Web comic that significant, it's hard to imagine no one in production was aware of this. American TV and Cinema keeps doing this and not giving credit. At least South Korean Productions will say, "From a popular webtoon" or list the webtoon.

This film literally has the same exact premise. People use a scientifically developed system to discover their biological love match, and the main character discovers she has two. The story is about her finding out what love really means. Like C'mon... I like all the actors in this, and I don't blame them. But I do wonder who in the chain of command decided to plagiarize an original idea and not give credit during the creation of this film.

Tried and struggled to stay engaged and turned it off because it was too dull, would have worked better as a mockumentary comedy on how people easily split because they disagree on the most trivial and pettiest thing.
