SeaMonkey Web Browser

SeaMonkey is a free an open-source Internet suite that is made up of a web browser, email & news client program, and an IRC chat client. I demonstrate how to install SeaMonkey on an Ubuntu MATE 20.04 LTS system. It can be installed on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Legacy plugins likely means they aren't updated anymore. Sounds like a security risk. To bad SeaMonkey doesn't use Firefox plugins natively.

The 2 main points for using these browsers instead of the popular ones are:
✦ As said in the video ― they are much more lightweight, easy on the resources etc. I usually have sessions with tens to more than a hundred tabs (most are unloaded) - and it's fine; can even be more than 200, though not a good idea.
✦ The main reason for me ― is the nature of the Extensions. The big browsers - have Web Extensions ― which as far as I understood - are something like basically HTML written Extensions ― which are very very limited. While: Pale Moon, SeaMonkey and a few more browsers ― use Extensions written in Programming Languages akin to the Browser itself. So those allow to basically create Programs of any kind. There are probably thousands of these Legacy Extensions available; so it is a super powerful feature.

Ultimately I use the few best ones; since it's not a good idea to have many, and some are heavy themselves. But a few are almost impossible to live without, for me :-).
I mainly use Pale Moon, and want to try SeaMonkey. I tried it a while back - and saw that many Extensions are incompatible ― but I didn't realize I can still use them. So now I see that it may be possible for me to use many more Extensions than available in Pale Moon; so I will try.

There was video showing that SeaMonkey is responsive (becoming little if opening by smartphone) but today i see that is not responsive

I really liked Seamonkey but it's lack of extension have put me off so after trying the main browsers & not being impressed with them either I went to Chromium.

This browser is not really that good because it's outdated and it's very similar to Internet Explorer
