Nepal Plane Crash | Saurya Airlines Flight Crashes In Kathmandu | NewsX

Eighteen people died when a Saurya Airlines flight skidded off the runway while taking off from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on Wednesday morning. The plane, carrying two crew members and 17 technicians to Pokhara for maintenance checks, crashed, according to Airport Security Chief Arjun Chand Thakuri, who spoke to Reuters. Pilot Manish Shankya was rescued and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of a head injury. The Nepal army is leading the rescue operations.
