Why the hell does a millionaire former head of the CPS who now earns £170k/yr need someone to “buy him glasses”. This absolutely stinks!!!

Imagine if this was Nigel Farage. The BBC would be having a broadcasting meltdown 🤣🤦🏽

19 grand of work clothes?! Some people don't even make that a year! These people truly have no idea how hard it is to live below the breadline and it disgusts me. House of commons should be exactly that, and the lords should be abolished

As former Director of Public Prosecutions and as a KC, should he be given any discretionary leeway? I think not.
If I drove down the road doing 40mph in a 30mph zone and got pulled over and used the excuse, I made a mistake, thought I was still in a 40 zone, am I likely to be let off? I think not. Should I have voted for this guy in the general election? I think not.
I believe we are in for 5 years of sheer misery and absolute hell and long before we get to the next election, this country will be run like a dictatorship.

It’s pretty evident these people don’t have the public’s best interest at heart. The politicians that do, never get near the seats of power.

My dad 73 now has no winter fuel payment. And today received a tax bill of £81 because of the changes to pensions. He isn't elegance for pension credit either. What are widows suppose to do to keep warm when diabetic and arthritic. Shame on Starmer

He's a politician, and politicians are allowed to be corrupt. Anyone else does it they go to prison. TwoTier justice system.

To date, £76, 000 worth of freebies, tickets to football matches, pop concerts, free clothes...
And in an unrelated matter, the guy who gave him the clothes also obtained a pass to enter Number Ten...

we can’t argue with Kier Starmer when he insists on telling us his father was a toolmaker.

Starmer is finished. He has done the damage he was set on to do by his masters. But who replaces him remains a mystery. Because none of the Labour Party are competent, trustworthy or smart enough to do the job.

He might want to return the glasses he can't read the writing on the wall. Our prime minister is an international disgrace.

'Donations'? In the old days it was called what it was - 'bribes'.
It's a cruel world.

It seems okay for politicians to have 'oversights', but just try it yourself as an ordinary 'man in the street'. No way!

He's acting like a dictator, he hates the working class and old people. He MUST go.

This is great - if I'm caught doing something illegal I can simply tell the police it was an oversight. I'm sure they'll accept that.

Can you imagine what they would have said had it been Nigel Farage receiving these gifts ?

According to HMRC (Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs) guidelines, suits are generally not considered tax-deductible as work clothing, even if they are required for your job. This is because suits are classified as everyday wear and could be worn outside of work, meaning they don't qualify as a tax-deductible expense.
HMRC allows tax deductions for work clothing only if the clothing is:
Protective clothing (e.g., safety boots, helmets, high-visibility vests).
Uniforms that are specific to your job and clearly identifiable as work-related (e.g., branded or specialized uniforms).
Specialist clothing required for certain professions, like lab coats for scientists or overalls for mechanics.
Since suits can be worn outside of a work environment, HMRC doesn’t recognize them as an allowable expense for tax purposes, even if your job requires formal attire.

These people are loaded! Of course they don’t care about £300 for us pensioners! Disgusting

The whole Labour party is morally bankrupt. The Labour party wouldn't exist if they lost funding from the trades unions, they would go bankrupt. Why is it then; ok and not a conflict for them to negotiate pay rates and terms of employment with their paymasters. How is that even allowed. No wonder the train drivers and doctors got massive pay rises.

I believe he’s pretty much finished. When he can’t go out in public without being heckled, that’s the beginning of the end.
