I cancelled my licence about a year ago because of Jon. I did a no licence needed declaration. All the letters stopped after about two months and I haven't had one visit. Thanks Jon.

You're right Jon. Sounds very much like a toothless campaign. It annoys me when grassroot movements (always started by the people) get co-opted, or at the very least, some politician jumps on the bandwagon and claims some glory. They suck all the oxygen out of the room and it ends up being about them! Don't undersell your efforts though Jon, you do a very good job. I'm using your videos to convince my Mum to drop the license.  She doesn't even watch any live  programmes (just all 'watch later' stuff), and yet she's terrified of what will happen if she stops paying the fee.

People who pay the fee should be urged by Defund The BBC by making their new years resolution to be cancel your payments and Direct Debits

What happened to the petition that they were supposed to organise? Is this a weak substitute? Are they actually working against our cause now the way they describe it as compulsory?
I can only hope your channel grows so you can leverage that influence more effectively than Defund have.

If everyone could persuade two friends/family to cancel their licenses, and those people did the same... very soon the power of mathematics would defund the BBC very quickly.

This is my new year's resolution. To persuade two people to cancel, and to get them to adopt the same resolution.
