“I don't like to take long-term commitments”. I'm sure you have faced this sales objection as a financial advisor, right? ⛔️
⬇️ This is how my objection handling example will be like:
“Well, Mr. Client, I understand where you're coming from, that you don't wanna be committed for something that you're not sure where you will be.
Yes, yes, Sanjay, that's exactly what I'm trying to say. I don't know where I will be two, three, five, 10, 15, 20 years from now. Well, Mr. Client, let me tell you something that's very important. Your commitment to your family is forever. Your commitment to your parents, to your children, to your wife, to your spouse is forever. How long should you be committed to them when it comes from a financial perspective? The answer is also forever.
Why are you scared of making a long-term commitment? We all don't know where we'll be 20 years from now, and that's the reason why we have financial reviews every year. That's the reason why you and I got to work together to make sure those commitments that you made can still be met. 💪🏼 If there is a change that's required, we would make those changes.
There's no harm in making a commitment to yourself, there's no harm in making a commitment to your future, there's no harm in making a commitment to the well-being of your family if you're not around.“
You see financial advisors, that's our job.
Our job is to make sure that the commitments that your clients have made are fulfilled. Financial planning is a process, and every year all those long-term commitments that you have made, we will review those long-term commitments. Together let’s make financial planning easier for everyone. =)
