higher dpi makes the polling rate more consistent which makes your game smoother. if you have a mouse with 2khz - 8khz poling rate you should use at least 1600 dpi (on 1khz poling rate the difference isnt that big (i think). since theres more dpi/cpi(counts per inch) the poling rate is more consistent. the visual difference is almost invisible but if you want the most smooth gameplay possible i suggest higher dpi (i use 1600 dpi on a g pro superlight (which is on 1khz poling rate)).optimum tech has made a video about this. it explains it better.

The difference is so small you are likely to not even feel one just play what you want. Same with poling rate it doesnt matter that much

I don’t think this is accurate. It’s best to use 1600 dpi on better mice, for input latency and poll saturation.
