A beautiful rendition of a great Tom T song. A master of the twelve string. Such a full sound.

One of the most entertaining fellows whoever picked up a 12-string guitar. God bless you Leo from Patrick

I saw him perform in Munich, Germany while I was in the Army. Mid-70s, I think. I recall that he sang Pamela Brown then, too. I was surprised at how many Germans were there and they loved him!

Used to listen to Leo Kottke on KPFT 90.1 FM in Houston back in the 70’s.

Whats cool to me is that I hear remnants of the slide version in this one

Wow I just heard one of his songs on KSQM—my southern neighbours’ cool little radio station in Sequim, WA. What a gift!!!

Di Kotke ho un solo album, il live in Europa di più 30 di 30 anni fa. Un bravo fingerpicker

I've kind of gotten used to the way he plays it now, but I always did like it with the slide guitar accompaniment. Interesting how he rearranged it though.

Why did he say it was written by Orville Redenbacher?

Dear Nancy, pay attention. His harmonies and use of the right hand have developed over the years. Leave yourself some room to consider his genius.

When I first saw him in '75, there was this weird rumor going around that he had some degenerative disease that was gradually fusing his finger joints so that in ten years he would be unable to play. Ridiculous, but we were doing a lot of drugs at the time.

Wow. Tuned down a whole two steps. Low for even a 12 string.

Great song, by a fine performer. (I don't know how anyone can play a twelve-string; I have trouble enough with six.) About Leo's voice - which thankfully hasn't changed an iota in all these years - he compared it on an old album to "goose farts on a muggy day". That's terribly modest of Leo. But the voice matters much less than how the singer uses it. And I'll bet Pavarotti was no damn good on the guitar.
