Dr. Stone is NOT an Isekai!

Recently, I heard some talk of Dr. Stone being considered an Isekai and it felt like a bit of a stretch, so here's my take on the whole thing and why it absolutely should not be lumped into the Isekai bandwagon.

Isaekai has reached that point where a genre either die or reinvent itself, usually going for the introspective route.
Also dr.stone is not an isekai, it's a jojo reference

Isekai is a "normal person" go in an fantasy world. Dr stone is post apocalyptic, period.

Btw if you watch FilmTheory's ep on DrStone, you'll get a pretty prominent answer/theory of what the "Green light that turned all humans and sparrows into stone" which is based in hard science!

THERE * IS * NOTHING * WRONG * WITH * ISEKAI

I'm not sure why everyone is trying to defend an awesome anime from getting a label you disagree with. Is it because you believe "isekai" has a negative connotation? If so, I disagree. One could easily argue that "isekai" isn't a literal term, even in Japanese. I'm sure that if you took someone from 500 years in the past and brought them to the present, they would think they were in a different world. I don't think Dr. Stone an isekai either, but if we're going to argue about something, let's make sure it's not something subjective.
