Looks good. I've seen plenty of test footage of these, and the stabiliser was very tempting for me, especially since I have difficulty holding things still. However, I went for the Panasonic HC-X2000 in the end due to the audio inputs and manual controls. And the stabiliser in the X2000 is very good as well.

I managed to pick one of these up in John Lewis (ex-display) for £249. Can't wait to try it out!

Chris, you know how in the trv45e video you zoomed in to the box and then immediately out again and the cam held focus? will the ax53 do that? and will the hc-x2000 do it? thx
