Waynesville, NC- Main Street Diner & Walk Thru Town

We ate at the Main Street Diner in downtown Waynesville, NC, and learned a bit of history about the town, as well.

Love history and historic small towns. The diner was so beautiful and loved the waiter telling the history plus all the pictures on the walls. General stores, antique shops, chocolate stores... looks like a place I'd love to visit. Thank you for sharing! And I never had a blackened pork chop! I love blackened fish so I'd definitely try it.

Waynesville is such a neat little town. Loved the interaction with the people yall met there!
Funny thing, when yall were telling us yalls meal choices and Shawnasi asked you if you've ever had blackened pork chops, as soon as she said that I saw the wheels turning in your head and that LOOK on your face. I said to myself, Derrick is about to have a hilarious follow up to the question! Glad yall can have harmless fun like that with each other. Some get it, some don't!

My younger brother is the one giving you the information at the main st diner.

You came at a time where unfortunately most of the shops have closed. Everyone but restaurants are typically only open until 5.
You should tour some of the shops! I work at the Olde brick house, my bosses have owned the shop for 22 years, and have SO much knowledge on the area, and are very versed on all of the events !
Their building is historical as well! Many shops are newer. But all are incredible.
I enjoy the coffee and fudge from Dilsborro chocolate factory! (Dark chocolate mocha is my personal fav)
The church st depot is a burger joint where they have locally sourced beef, and they get their ice cream from NC too!
The chefs table serves *fresh* pasta,
Sauced has an incredible quesadilla burger!
Axe & all, is an incredible store as well! Leather work and things like that!
Ava and Arden is super unique as well!
You should come back and take a day to visit the stores! We need the advertisement as much as possible after all the damage we’ve been suffering, less people have been coming through. 😢
