I love the fact that your demos aren't about showing off your gear as people like Phillip Mcknight do. It's all affordable stuff. I try to tell people all the time, "Sound is in your hands, not your wallet". Thanks for keeping it real.

I love that you tore it up in this demo on a $50 Ammoon guitar.

I own one of these pedals and was fortunate enough to test it against an original Ibanez pedal and it's damn hard to tell which is which without looking. I would gladly recommend this pedal to anyone in the market for a tube screamer.

I liked the sound of this pedal over the TS because it's brighter. You can always use your tone knob on your guitar to cut back the brightness of a bright pedal, but you generally can't make a dark pedal sound brighter unless you do it at your amp and then EVERYTHING sounds a bit too bright.

Thank you, Max! You're saving me a lot of money!! Also, love the blooper at the end!! Keep doing what you do, man! It's VERY helpful to those of us who aren't fabulously wealthy like many of the other guitar YouTubers who demo stuff!

I recently bought one and am pleased with the tones out of it. I play classic rock and to me it sounds best with a lower gain setting around 10/11 o'clock on the knob. I installed a bass boost dpdt switch; just ran 2 wires from the C10 capacitor to the middle lugs and put a .047 capacitor on the outer lugs. It beefs up my Strat nicely without being muddy, sounds more tube-like. I just revert back to no boost when playing my humbucker-equipped guitars.

Finally, an OD pedal review on an already dirty amp channel. They all seem to be reviewed/demo'd on clean channels. I'm just looking to give my little amp a bit more punch/volume

I'd love to see you continue the budget Playlists with everything from guitars to strings and strap locks the professionalism and honesty is most definitely admirable and it helps a lot of people with a limit its also a prime example of why you shouldn't always be In a break the bank mentality

It’s nice to hear this pedal in a hard rock/metal context. A lot of the demos I’ve seen have been more blues based, and not really playing alot of chords either. So this is perfect l! Great playing btw!

From this vid, I bought this pedal and have been using it as my main OD in a blues band. Very happy with it. Thanks!

I have a Joyo tremolo, compressor, and noise gate, and can't believe how good they are.

I had a Joyo Chorus, a clone of the 80s Boss mono chorus, and gave it to a friend because he lacked a chorus, and it's excellent.

Joyo is a game-changer. If I didn't already own both a Tube Screamer and a TC Mojomojo, the Joyo Overdrive would be in my signal chain.

Re-watching the video; I was going for this one but was sold off in Amazon UK and my gas led me to get the electro harmonix soul food, it's great, but 3 times more expensive and the Joyo sounds amazing for the price! So, listen to Max boys and girls!

Bought a JOYO from your link. It didn't work. In spite of the seller saying he didn't take returns, when I bitched he sent me a FREE shipping label and a packing slip for a full refund. Going to ask for another sample of the same thing. Thanks for all your great reviews and thanks for humbling me and letting me know I will always be a wimp and my playing will always suck. At least I'm about a foot taller than you. Har har har! I'd like to hear you play that violin in the background...

I bought Joyo Vintage Overdrive Last week, then i bring it to boutique pedals factory. They say, it have same component (inside) with Tube screamer then i was mod the joyo there, and wtf its more than Tube screamer with 3 knob mode beside the pedals. Its amazing cheap pedals

"I know, it's green, it's an overdrive pedal, and it's kind of a knock-off of an Ibanez Tubescreamer." Yeah, it literally says on the box that it's a Tubescreamer. I'm not kidding. They legitimately wrote that on the box.

I just got mine today, but my first impression is pretty good. It's a little thicker than my MXR and TC pedals (not sure why that is...), but that's the least of my concerns. I bought it for the sound-to-price ratio, and in that respect, it's one of the best boost-pedals I've ever owned. Also, the battery-hatch is literally the easiest-to-open battery-hatch in any piece of guitar-gear that was made for batteries that I've ever owned, which is a plus, even though I intend to use a PSU...

Welp, after a few vids of this pedal, this vid does it for me. Just ordered me this bad boy. Upvote and subbed. Thanks man.

I have this tube screamer, at first I thought it wouldn’t work at first because it wouldn’t make any noise whatsoever when I turned it on, i was using two D’addario premium cables at the time so I just left it collecting dust for a few months until I used a cheap instrument cable that came with my old Dean M10 amp. After using one D’addario premium instrument cable with my old cheap one it worked like a charm, so keep in mind to make sure your cables are compatible with the pedal.

It would be nice to have a review on pros and cons of the multieffects pedal vs. pedalbooard.
