As hard as it is to lose a parent, she's still looking to the bright side, god bless hers and her father's soul

Aww Ellen, my condolences 😔...but at least she got to say goodbye and get a rainbow. I'm glad her father got to live a long life and got to see her succeed by being herself 😊🌈

Ellen my darling, I feel like I just need to say this, I lost my 12 year old daughter to Leukemia. At first, I felt I lost myself, my insides, my life. After sometime, I would always notice these butterflies always around me and I caught on to it. They were always yellows small butterflies, ( all the time), my daughters favorite things were yellow butterflies. I realized, my daughter went to a better place, I have to still wait until HE'S ready for me. I kinda stopped being so sad, and started to know that my child will always be with me. Same with your father, he's always right next to you. We live in a frantic society filled with so much bad, my daughter has it made, next with the angels and always in GOD'S presence. I apologize, but even writing this to you, a little sadness does affect me, because we miss them dearly. I'll stop here with this, your father always has and always will love and protect you, I gotta go wipe my eyes now. We love you Ellen. Thank you.

on the day my grandma passed away i walked out of my middle school, not knowing she had died, and there was a huge rainbow over the parking lot. It hadn't even looked like it had rained. Then, on the day of her funeral there was one stretched above the entire funeral home. Now I always think of her when I see rainbows and I got a tattoo of one & her handwriting! So crazy how nature works, and so sorry for your loss! ❤️

I cannot imagine what it would be like to lose my dad. It will happen eventually, and I don't know what I will do then. That is a really cool sign of the rainbow, too. Maybe it was the world's way of saying "It's gonna be alright"

Never had medicine or vaccines. Respect Ellen for making this statement. Powerful message. That rainbow is beautiful.

I lost my grandpa a year ago. He raised me, and I called him dad. It’s been so very hard, and there is never anything anyone can say to make it hurt a warm hug and making sure we surround ourselves with people who love us is great therapy for the heart. Of course, sometimes we want to grieve alone, and that’s ok, too. At times, I cry in the shower when I’ve had a rough day. For a while, I didn’t cry for months; but all of a sudden, on the anniversary of his passing, I broke down and cried in the shower two days in a row. Sometimes, you think you are doing so good living with the sad reality of their absence, but the next second it could hurt so bad all over again. It’s so weird....to grieve. It truly never ends until, well....the end. I know you probably won’t read this....but I guess this is me grieving right now on this video, because your video truly saddened me for the both of us.

Sad to hear, but at 92 years old age.. I dont think you enjoy life as much. My grandmother used to say she'd end it if she could at 84. Life was just so hard for her at that point, constantly taking meds and being somewhat out of it. Worst was probably for my grandfather who had to care for her as she refused home care with a helper. He didnt leave the house really other than grocery shopping for over two years. In a sense I'm happy she got what she wanted, as I know can see my grandfather enjoying life much more. Which makes sense, seeing the one you love at that stage in life cant be fun. Married for 57 years, losing your life partner...I cant even imagine.

I'm really sorry Ellen I know how painfull this is. Curious enough something similar happened to me. When I lost my grandfather just 3 days before coming to visit us for the first time ever (he lived in Cuba with my granny) 5 years previously my mom brought orchid seeds from my grandpa's backyard. The orchid never flowered... 5 years and it was only a bunch of roots and a leaf. When my grandma was able to come after the week that Grandpa passed away, the orchid had flowered. It was a white beautiful orchid, with a purple center. Always Having you in my mind Grandpa...

Although you don't know me, I feel your pain, and I have you in my 💓
