The part where you guys brought up the amount travis was sexualized made me remember something that I had read about how the show pulls from the way a beehive would function, so we have our alter queen as the queen bee, and the other girls as the lady bees (cleaning, foraging, etc.) so travis would represent the male bees whose sole purpose is to mate :)

I started watching Yellowjackets for the first time on a plane ride (it had just come out and i didn't know anything about it and it was in the flight catalog). And let me tell you the speed with which i turned it off as soon as the crash happened would get me a bronze medal at the Olympics

My favourite part of the whole series is misty exitedly putting her hand up and grinning ear to ear when they're deciding who should kill the deer and quickly putting it back down again and faking a sour face when she realises the rest of the girls are disgusted by the idea 😂

Ngl the way you talked about what you enjoyed about Yellowjackets on Trin Lovell's channel made me think you'd enjoy Netflix's German show "Dark". The dub is mid, so subs is best tbh
All the messy relationships, the amazingly executed different time periods (good chunk in the 70s/80s-ish) as you jump around character's timelines, is all just *chef's kiss*
