The lyrics really put a lot of emphasis on 'being in this moment', something that Luka mentioned in an interview. He truly devotes his all to the performance, to the present.

Since the lyrics are about the moment and how easily it can escape, there are two opposite ways to cope with this:

1. Cherishing the moment and going with the flow
2. Living desperately and afraid of the time you're losing

Luka and Till experience each of them, and switch at the end of the song (which I think sticks the most to the meaning of “enjoying the moment while it lasts” due to it being shorter)

Till is in despair, tired, can't fully process Ivan's sacrifice and Luka keeps taunting him, of course he represents the second way to cope with it thorought the song. It's not until he sees Mizi again (his last ray of hope and the light of his life) that he can truly leave his worries behind and go with her to reach her hand.

Meanwhile, Luka is in control with the aliens' favor, his own talent and Till's fragile sanity, that's why he's having the time of his life: it's an easy win for him. However, though he was right about Ivan's death devastating his opponent, Luka never expected that Till would turn away to look at Mizi, plus making him lose his influence over him. Of course, Luka *knows* that he's going to win anyway; that doesn't mean he's not frustrated about losing control at the end, but he has to suck it up and focus on finishing the song.
