I started IF a year ago and I am down -52 pounds. This past holiday season (Thanksgiving-Christmas) was the first time in my adult life that I looked forward to "all the holiday foods". I enjoyed every bit of it, all while maintaining my -1 pound per week loss. Intermittent Fasting is LIFE

Thank you, this course is exactly what I need. I’ve watched a ton of videos on fasting, low carb and the importance of lean body mass, but none of. Them have put it all together in an actionable program. Bless you!

Another great video. I do get tired out from fasting, but after a break for a few weeks, it is amazing how it seems easy again.

OMAD is working pretty well. I can stay busy during the day so I don’t miss eating as much. I have also noticed that when I do finally have the one meal, a lot less food than normal fills me up .

I am in my 50s and started IF in July, about 9 months ago and I am down 60-65lbs now and on a bit of a plateau here going between muscle building as well as continued weight loss but I really want to go down another 40 to 50, that would probably put me into 'washboard territory'. So while I feel a bit stuck, without the weight of last summer, it is spring here, the snow is starting to melt and I am excited for hikes and open water swimming in our beautiful lakes and ponds! 😊 The thing I like with actively weight training is I can easily see if I start to slip and am sacrificing muscle and strength and I can just slightly increase my window from 3 1/2 up to maybe 4 or 5, maybe just for the weekend until the strength comes back and then close the window back down a bit. I am by no means fading away do so worries there... 😂

I've never down intermittent fasting but I enjoy variety! High carb days and low carb days to keep my body guessing! I've always enjoyed weight training since highschool! Balance is key regardless your goals! Awesome content Dr. O!

Thanks Dr. O’Neil! 💪
1. What about focusing on weight loss first?
2. Achieving the BMI weight threshold for one’s height?
3. Then, focus on building muscle?
4. I’m currently doing Carnivore ADF.
5. Great weight loss progress & feeling great!

Thank you for your videos, Dr. Frank.
Still over 4 bills but have lost 32 lbs. so far.
I have been breaking on weekends but it stalls my weight loss so I think I'll skip breaks.
I saw an old video of yours before you lost the weight - mind blowing tranformation. High five!
My biggest challenge is my family who are not supportive or interested in changing their ways. I have overcome the struggle of getting McD's for them and then cooking a meal on feast days or having an electrolyte drink on fast days. It gets easier. Was your family supportive?

Extended cardio is a controlling factor, long, mid tempo bike rides ( 3 to 4 hrs ) on a weekends will reshape your body and vascular system. Food management along is a very limiting regime.

During these 6 weeks of taking a break from fasting did you still tried to eat in a kind of corrected eating I mean not eating bad carbohydrates for example and having sweet drinks or did you avoid these?

Thank you for this information. I have been doing ADF with the exception of two days (my birthday and my son’s birthday) since January 2024. I have lost approximately 4lbs. I do Crossfit 2 times a week. I either walk for 30 minutes or do some sort of weight training on the days I don’t do CrossFit. Initially, I ate what I want and didn’t track calories. At the end of February I started tracking calories and stay between 2, 200-3, 000 calories on feast days.
I am 37, 5’4” and I now weigh 180lbs. I want to be 165lbs. I don’t feel like am seeing much progress.
I try to eat healthy foods that are high in fiber. On some days, I eat keto. Would you be able to help me figure out why I’m not losing weight? It’s super frustrating. Should I do more exercising or change my diet? I chose ADF so I can heal my relationship with food (restricting myself, not counting calories, ) but also to lose weight. I don’t want to give up but it’s frustrating.

Dr O., my oldest son, your age, found your channel and told me about it. I've watched all the videos about weight loss. I've been doing intermittent fasting for several years. It does work, but I'm a little weak when it comes to commitment. After watching you ideas, I think I can do this now. So, I started today and will see what happens. I'm excited. I have one question. Do you have any thoughts on using water enhancers, such as Mio? Thanks if you can provide an answer.

Breaks dont work for me. Just took a ONE week break from alternate day fasting and gained 10 lbs. Yes, 10 lbs in one week. Geez. I may never be in a maintenance mode...may be fasting the rest of my life at that rate.

Moving from 2MAD/KETO to 3MAD/ADF for the next three months and see how I do.

Hey there, recently turned into your channel from a friend and have recently started ADF from your introductory video. I did have one question, when tracking your carbs to remain below 50-60g, do you consider strict all carbs or carbs minus fiber? Ive never gotten a straight answer on this from keto research

In terms of how I approach taking breaks from fasting, I look at it like a sleep-wake cycle.

Doing too much of either is either not good for you, or it's unpleasant; so keeping a happy balance of both ensures that I don't get too unhealthy with one, but I also don't experience burn out on the other either trying to reverse it.
