This is great way to practice triads and help you build internal rhythm and hear how chords connect. Grab your guitar and give it a try. I promise you will love it. Link to the charts that outline what I am doing below. Grab them from my dropbox. Keep going.

Thank you for this. I’m 70 and have banged away on a guitar for 50 years now. I have parkinson’s disease so playing is not easy - but I continue to play because it is so good for my brain. This lesson will give me something to work on. I subscribed to your channel. Jim in Oregon

My ex guitarist who was a champion tried to drum this into my head about knowing all the triads so so so so true glad I saw this video xxx

Love the simplicity. I started playing 3 years ago and would spend hours trying to crack various “guitar codes.” Caged circle of fifths etc. It really just comes down to playing a lot and recognizing patterns lol

I never put together that that "C shape" triad was built right into the Barre Chord shape. That's really enlightening! Thank you!

I really like how musical this guitar lesson is. Of course, pretty much all guitar lessons are musical, this is the first lesson I've seen from Mr. Elmore, it is especially so. TY for the great lesson!

For this beginner, a lesson I could absorb even without the guitar at hand. Excellent. Thank you. Subscribed.

Smart exercise. Wrapping the thumb is great because it allows you to mute those strings you don't want to play. Thanks for the video!

Larry is my dad. He told me about meeting you and mentioned the children's book you are working on. As a bass player and someone who loves 90's music we often aren't learning the same stuff but we do jam together on occasion. I like triads because I usually am able to improv a bass line over a song he already knows just by playing root 5th octave.

This makes the scales and chords you’ve learned fall into place.

You definitely get some interesting comments dude! Great video! I’m 60 & just trying to figure out triads & not doing full bar chords. This is extremely simple…in fact it’s so simple I might even “get it”! Thank you & I’m a new subscriber. Love that guitar too!

I just instantly made the links between the triads and the full chord. Thank you soooo much

Great video. I can confirm this will open up your guitar playing in a great way. For some of you who struggled to put your thumb over the top, especially if you have small hands, I recommend an EVH Wolfgang. It is a very small neck and easy to wrap your hands around.

Very rhythmic and percussive, I love it. You’ve got a sub.

This is awesome. Been playing 4 years and I don't know any of this stuff. I just subscribed. I checked out the bar chord breakdown, do you have any more of these, it really helps a lot. Cheers
