Most YouTube viewers think new iron is a nice add to the farm. However that pales in comparison to a land purchase! We had a snowstorm in October that knocked our power out for 16 hours.. lit a fire in the woodstove, made a pot of coffee, lit an oil lamp and read all day.. got caught up on my parts catalogues..

I remember a few summers back, power was out for a couple days....my grand parents had gotten a new generator, so on a 95 degree day in high humidity, I sat putting it I was finishing tightening the very last bolt the power came back on. Never been so pissed off and relieved at the same time....
