Heavens! What incredible music by Mendoza-Nava, who was a much respected composer, as well as a concert pianist. The great Vernon Duke, composer of "Autumn in New York" and "April in Paris", used Vladimir Dukelsky as his alternate name for his concert works. He dedicated two of his piano pieces to Mendoza-Nava.

I really hope the tapes turn up for this one day and it gets released. Just a terrific score, like a cross between Rózsa's archaic epic sound and the brute percussive fury of Poledouris' Conan scores - in fact this march could well have been in a Conan film! Love those call and response brass phrases - so heraldic. Someone please release this gem!

This is a superb score by a tragically underrated, forgotten composer. The pentatonic scale is used in the opening scenes to great effect.

Masterful use of the pentatonic scale [A-B-D-E-G].

Boggles the mind how such a talented, literally forgotten composer should compose such a fine, inspired score for such a god-awful film
