Stranda Bowlrider - directional surfshape - snowboard review

Показать описание
Bowlrider has lots of drive, and that’s due to the core profile and how it is matched with it’s progressively tighter rear radius. The 165 has 7,9 in nose and 7,7 in the tail for an average 7,8 meter. For lower aspect carving it’s a lot of fun. Tail is springy with an abundance of POP, high speed, short radius arcs and vertical pocket surfing off the tail on banks and POWDER RIDING is what it’s made for. You can really lean in to the turns with it’s fast turning hybdrid shape.
Bottom shape starts with a radical, long nose rocker. Which transitions over to a mid camber section which ends outside the rear inserts and goes over to a generous amount of tail rocker. This equates to a fast, yet precise and comfortable ride, without sacrificing glide in powder.
Core is our premium mix of 65 % white ash and 35% lightweight poplar. As always we rely on good wood for that ultimate ride.
Carbon torsion rods adds strength, and provides pop, bringing a responsive, rapid spring back to the flex. Gold tinted PU sidewalls for a damper ride.
Inspiration for the top sheet was Southern California surf designs. Using wood instead of plastic and printing direct in to the bamboo. It’s then covered in multiple layers of waterbased laquer and polished for a high gloss. 100% renewable and zero solvents used in the finishing process.
So who is this board for? With the tightest sidecut it lends it self for easy carving and snappy maneuvers. Like shortboard surfing. A daily driver? Yes. Riding switch is possible. Amazing in powder. If you’re a directional kind of rider and want’s a board with flick of the wrist turning go for a Bowlrider.
Lengths: 165, 159. Waist is 26 on both lenghts.
