Well this turned out a stunner, I love it
Folk art milk paint base coat with floetrol added only.

My pouring medium used for my current work is a pre mix of 70% “Elmer’s glue all”and 30% water, (most pva glues can be made up with same ratios to make a pouring medium), I add my pour medium to my paint slowly until I achieve the consistency of pouring cream, approximately 50/50 more pm if needed.
My paint brands varying, Mont marte studio acrylics, Global impasto paints and Byron paints both Australian made.
Other paints I love to use and work well with my pouring medium are Burrows paints, chroma A2,

When iv mixed my paints I add 2-4 drops maximum of Helmar silicone, also Australian made, I stir in well.
I always like to mix up my paints the day before I’m going to paint and cover with a damp tea towel, as iv found I have much better results.

I think the Milk Paint makes the lighter areas look like they are almost "glowing".... there is a translucent effect that is so unique!! I LOVE this technique and watching those cells appear after you torched it was really almost magical. Definitely another stunner, !! ~ Jan

AWESOME, love going on your journey, love that shade of yellow, there are a few cells that have a faint white line around them that makes them look like bubbles, well done gilly

I loved this. It inspires me to experiment with all mediums. There seems to be a lot of paint on the board. Did it crack any? I’m still trying to determine how much paint a canvas or board can handle before cracking. Have you tried pouring over chalk paint?

Your beautiful cells spread like chicken pox but so much prettier!!! I love trying the things you suggest. Only wish I got similar results. Your views in your opening sequence are stunning. Maybe painting in Australia is key...

Great piece, thank you for sharing!

I’m your description you said that you put silicone (2-4 drops) in your paints. Did you use silicone for this piece as well?

what kind of surface are you pouring on? i've tried a similar looking gray cardboard but while drying it curled up.
