Martina Cowen, an ex-member of the Genova medical Support Team, NT of the Optimum Health Clinic and now, lecturer at the 'College of Naturopathic Medicine' helps us explore the challenges she faced working on a male client showing lethargy, heavy metal toxicity and issues with Detoxification.

Martina's journey into the world of nutrition started after pursuing a career in Logistics, where she discovered her unwavering passion for food and health. Although her professional background was different, Martina's enthusiasm for functional health led her to obtain a BSc(Hons) in Psychology in 2014. Building on this foundation, she embarked on a nutrition training path that culminated in her graduation from the esteemed College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2016.

Following her academic achievements, Martina further honed her skills and knowledge by gaining valuable clinical experience in her own private practice. This hands-on experience allowed her to understand the intricacies of working with clients and providing personalized care. To expand her expertise, Martina pursued a Clinical Education and Support role with Genova Diagnostics, where she supported clinicians until 2020. This opportunity provided her with the chance to deepen her understanding of the latest research developments and testing applications within the ever-evolving nutrition industry.

Aside from private practice, Martina has been supporting clients at the award-winning Optimum Health Clinic since 2020, where she works with clients with energy related issues.
