Cold War Broadcasting and Its Lessons for Countering Russia's Disinformation under Putin

This panel discussion includes analyses of Cold War-era broadcasting to the Soviet bloc and presentations about the wide-ranging disinformation by the Russian government under Vladimir Putin. The discussion will present what happened in the past, what is happening now, and the best ways for Western governments to deal with it.
This seminar originally included A. Ross Johnson, the former director of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, who passed away on 6 February 2021 at the age of 81. The event is being held in his memory.
