Interior designer here! First, I like the lamp in the corner better, maybe the tree goes on the tv wall once you set that up. I'd also pull the sofa away from the window wall about 10". Second, pull your rug out from under your sofa so you see more of the rug; you only need like 4-6 inches of rug under the sofa. This will make the room feel more grounded. Third, a stone coffee table would add warmth with the natural colors. Fourth, with those tall windows, some drapery would soften it up a lot!

I love the plant next to the mirror and the cabinet. The lamp looks great next to the window. I would get very long curtain panels in a dark velet color. It will add a lot of warmth and show the size of the ceilings. You will make it home. They say if you love it, put it in your space, and it will be a reflection of you.

Love the new space! The tree looked much better next to the kitchen cabinets. Keep the lamp by the window but add curtains (pop of colour) to bring warmth to that area. Also don’t get a darker couch, you’ll end up hating it! Stick in the neutral beige-y tones for the couch but add colour with pillows, rugs, curtains etc

I would wait to figure out the lamp and the tree until you get a different couch because a darker color will change the feel of the space. The white sofa makes things feel bigger, a darker color will be less forgiving to work around! Also, tall ceilings require bigger artwork like you said and taller lamps, plants, etc. to look balanced. A bit more challenging but it’s going to look so good in the end! Excited for your new chapter ❤
